HAMMONTON -
Senator Robert Menendez was honored in Hammonton Monday afternoon.
The New Jersey Primary Care Association and the Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers gave the Senator an award recognizing his support of community health centers and his efforts to reduce health care costs and to promote primary care.
Menendez says that he's proud of the high quality care that the federally aided community centers provide.
"I think about this is the federal government at its best, delivering healthcare at very cost efficient rates, and improving the lives of individuals, and that's ultimately the best thing that one can do," Menendez said.
