A local car dealership was honored Monday for making it a point to hire veterans.
The Amvets Post 911 of Somers Point presented Bennett Chevrolet with a plaque Monday in honor of the dealership hiring 12 military veterans. The dealership says that they find veterans to be hardworking and team oriented.
The plaque was awarded as part of the Amvets post's program "Hiring a Veteran" which began last year.
