WMGM-TV (NBC 40 News) in Atlantic City, NJ, has an immediate opening for a Reporter/Photographer (Multi-Media Journalist).
Must be comfortable reporting and shooting in the field, writing for air and web, logging and editing video; plus have the ability to provide comfortable and accurate reporting that builds a trust with our viewers.

You must have excellent reading, writing, organizational and interpersonal skills; with the ability to multi-task under moderate to high stress and deadline pressure.

College degree in Journalism or related field preferred.

A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required.



NBC 40 is South Jersey's only local TV news station.  (We may be in the Philadelphia DMA, but we are NOT Philly.)

Specific Responsibilities include:

-Monitor and keep track of local news related events, cultivate and maintain news contacts.


-Provide local story ideas on a daily basis with ability to enterprise assignments in the field.


-Prepare and research stories to cover and questions to ask during interviews as directed.


-Field produce stories as a one-person-band reporter by arranging on-camera interviews,stand-ups, and b-roll material, including scheduling, framing, and blocking, along with on-scene still photos as needed.


-Maintain, transport, and understand how to operate ENG equipment.  Serve as videographer by gathering story elements on shoots.

-Prepare story script for air and web; produce appropriate voice track for stories, edit video material in accordance with script.

-And other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
