ABSECON -
Police in Absecon are looking for help in identifying a man they say posed as a police officer and stopped a woman in her car on Monday.
The 24 year-old victim told police she was driving on Absecon Boulevard towards Brigantine, when the man depicted in the sketch, driving an SUV with an emergency light on the dashboard stopped her. The woman says the man was wearing a uniform, and she allowed him to search her car, not realizing he wasn't a real police officer. After the search the man left area.
The suspect is described as a white man around 6 feet tall with a skinny build. The man had blonde hair and brown eyes. Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect.
