BRIDGETON -
A fire damaged at least two units at the Amity Heights apartment complex on the 100 block of Pamphylia Avenue in Bridgeton Thursday night.
Fire officials on scene say the fire started in the upper level of one of the apartment units. That unit sustained heavy smoke and fire damage, and the units below were damaged by water used to fight the fire. Residents were home at the time of the fire, but were able to make it out safely, according to fire officials on scene. At least two families are displaced after the fire.
The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.
