Police are investigating a report of shots fired in Atlantic City Wednesday morning, officials say.
According to Atlantic City police, officers responded to a call of shots fired in 500 block of North Kentucky Avenue just after 12 a.m. Wednesday. Officers were flagged down by two delivery drivers from a local pizza
restaurant who tell police that they
had made a delivery and got into an argument with two men while
making a delivery near the 1500 block of Wabash Avenue.
Police say after making
the delivery the drivers returned to the car and while leaving the area the two men ran into the street and one began firing a gun at
the car near Kentucky and Caspian Avenues. The two victims exited the vehicle and began running until they were
able to flag down the Police.
Neither of the drivers were injured in the incident, but the car was hit with three bullets while a parked car and a nearby home were each struck
once. Officers recovered four spent rounds and numerous shell casings.
The shooting suspect is described as a dark skinned black male
approximately 5-foot-6, thin build, thin beard, 24-26 years of age, wearing a black
knit hat, black pants dark sneakers and a dark sweater like jacket.
