SOMERS POINT -
A Somers Point home health care agency has been shut down by the state Division of Consumer Affairs after allegations that their uncertified aides failed to meet their patient's needs.
Infinity Healthcare, LLC. is no longer operating and it's owner, Jerome Kurmas is permanently banned from operating any similar businesses.
This comes after an investigation by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs that found that not one of the employees listed in the company's files was certified by the state Board of Nursing to practice as a home health aide. The company allegedly placed those employees in patient's homes, to provide services that can only legally be performed by certified aides.
Also, Infinity allegedly violated regulations by failing to match each client's needs with the qualifications of the aide.
