Free beach access in the Wildwoods may soon come to an end.

Wildwood city commissioners will hold a special meeting to discuss the possibility of holding a special election to allow beach tags.  The officials will need to vote on a resolution to hold that election.  The meeting will take place at city hall at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

This meeting comes at a time when two state lawmakers are working to create a bill that would ban beach tags in any city that has accepted government funding for Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.
