
Police had their hands full Monday night, making multiple arrests at the city wrung in the new year.
Between the hours of 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to 388 calls for service, including multiple incidents at the "Life in Color" event at Bader Field. A total of 13 people were arrested in that time frame. Most of those arrested were released on summonses and given a court date.
Two separate fights at the Tropicana resulted in a police officer suffering a leg injury, and another man being charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. 18 year-old Devon Johnson, of Atlantic City is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 bail as a result of that incident.
The injured officer was treated at the hospital and released that night.
