CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE -
Not even 15 minutes into the new year, Cape May County welcomed its first 2013 baby.
At 12:14 Tuesday morning, Maci Ann Meek became the first child born in Cape May County in 2013 as she greeted her parents Ashlyn and John Meek at Cape Regional Medical Center.
"We celebrated the New Year with the three nurses that helped us deliver the baby along with the doctor, Doctor Michner. It was a great experience to bring in the New Year," said Maci's father John Meek.
Little Maci came into the world weighing in at 7 pounds 8 ounces. She is the second daughter for the Meeks, who hail from Cape May.
