Ocean City prepares for one of a kind celebration - NBC40.net
Workers in Ocean City were busy Monday afternoon setting up for the city's "First Night Celebration."
"First Night" is a New Year's celebration meant for everyone, from kids to adults. The non–alcoholic event is the only one of its kind in south Jersey.
Monday officials were selling buttons, which act as admission to the event, setting up decorations, and even creating a mini golf course on the boardwalk.
Organizers expect around 10,000 people to attend the first night celebration, which started at 4 p.m. and will conclude with fireworks at midnight.
