Galloway man arrested for weapons charges - NBC40.net
A 23-year old from Galloway is now behind bars after being arrested for several gun possession charges.
Around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, authorities learned that the armed suspect, Zhavai Sheppard, was near the Shoppes of Galloway.
According to officials, after Galloway police approached Sheppard, the suspect attempted to run away from authorities towards Federal Court. After briefly chasing the suspect, Galloway police successfully arrested Sheppard at the intersection of Collins Road and Federal Road
Officials report that as Sheppard was taken into custody, police discovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun in the stairway where the subject attempted to escape police.
Currently, Sheppard is being held in Atlantic County Justice facility on $150,000 full cash bail.
