A New Gretna man is behind bars tonight and a Galloway woman has her purse back thanks to a group of bystanders after a strong arm robbery at a local pharmacy.

Police say just before ten this morning a 68 year old Galloway woman was heading into the CVS pharmacy in Smithville when a man stole her purse and ran.

Three men saw what happened and authorities say they chased the suspect, catching up with him and restraining him until police arrived.

24 year old Paul Heriegel III has been charged with robbery and theft and is currently in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
