Coast Guard flies tower to Barnegat Light from A.C. - NBC40.net

A Cast Guard Helicopter loaded up a navigation tower at air station Atlantic City last week, and flew it up to Barnegat Light.

The tower was shipped to the air station from North Carolina, and then flown from Atlantic City to the Barnegat Light jetty.  There, the tower was outfitted with lights by Aids to Navigation Team from Cape May.

The tower was put into place to help mariners navigate the area and replaces a tower that was knocked down during Hurricane Sandy.
