ATLANTIC CITY -

Preliminary results indicate that a bone that was discovered on Mediterranean Ave. Wednesday afternoon in Atlantic City does not belong to a human.

According to Atlantic City Police, the Atlantic County Medical Examiner has taken the bone fragment in for examination and initial indications show that the bone is likely that of an animal, possibly a pig.

The bone was found by a resident in the area who alerted police.
