Officials in Cumberland County are investigating after burglars took nearly $30,000 in cash and jewelry before setting a home on fire this weekend.
Authorities say it happened on the unit block of Hogbin Street in Millville around 9 a.m. Saturday, when suspects entered the house and burglarized it, before setting it on fire. Police say witnesses saw two men in the yard the day of the fire, driving a silver, late 1990's Honda Accord.
Authorities say the fire killed the family cat and the house sustained extensive smoke damage.
