Law enforcement officials across the state are cracking down on drunk drivers through the holiday season.
The statewide campaign "Drive Sober or get Pulled Over" runs through January second. Local and state law enforcement officials will conduct extra patrols and sobriety checkpoints looking for motorists who may be driving while intoxicated.
The campaign has some strong supporters.
"There's so much at stake in terms of the damage that can be done the lives that are lost, the families are torn apart, so I'm really big on seeing this emphasized," said Congressman Frank LoBiondo.
The campaign hopes to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving through the high–visibility enforcement.
