Upper Twp. Rescue Squad collects donations for animal shelter - NBC40.net

Christmas is not complete without a trip to see Santa.

Kris Kringle was in Upper Township Sunday visiting the Upper Township Rescue Squad base.  Kids from one to 92 years old lined up to have their picture taken with Santa.  Those who came were invited to bring donations of pet food, paper towels, bleach and cleaning products.  Santa will be dropping off all the supplies collected to Beacon Animal Rescue – a gift those who run the rescue are thankful for.

"We take animals mainly from other shelters that euthanize, in hopes of saving or rescuing them, getting them into an adopted home," Dave Haines, shelter manager at Beacon Animal Rescue.
