Part of a plan for a $300 million dollar sports complex and hotel got a vote of approval Thursday night in Vineland.
In order for the plans for the Magic Sports Complex to go forward, the city's Zoning Board needed to approve waivers that would allow for some of the structures to exceed current height limits in the city. Those waivers were granted Thursday night.
A large majority of residents who were able to speak at the hearing supported the plan, which includes the construction of an indoor-outdoor athletic complex featuring a large domed stadium, and a resort style hotel and indoor-outdoor water park.
Officials with the Magic Sports Complex say it will bring jobs and tourism to the area. City officials stated Thursday that a major concern is traffic in the area.
