ATLANTIC CITY -

A special delivery was made to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission Tuesday afternoon from a donor that traveled nearly 700 miles to help with Atlantic City's hurricane relief efforts.

Carrie Grubbs, founder of "City–to–City Caring," along with another associate, made the long trip from Fort Wayne, Indiana to drop off a truck full of donations to help those in need.

"City–to–City Caring" has been collecting clothes and blankets since November 19th. Organizers were overwhelmed by the support they received to help people impacted by Hurricane Sandy hundreds of miles away.

"The support I got from home our city came together as a whole to help this city as a whole. And I just feel so overjoyed," said Grubbs.

The trip from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Atlantic City took Carrie more than 14 hours.
