WOW! Our high temperature was 68 degrees yesterday, which is
only a degree shy of the record set back in 1998. I don't think we will see as
much sun as we did yesterday but that won't stop temperatures from maxing out
in the 60's again today. Along the shore it will be tough to get out of the 50's
with that wind coming in off the ocean. Southerly winds will pump in the mild
air as high pressure moves offshore and low pressure begins to head our
direction. Today will be dry and partly sunny, then skies turn mostly cloudy tonight
with the chance for a few showers. After a couple of scattered showers first
thing tomorrow morning, the rest of the day looks dry, breezy and cooler as
highs top out in the upper 50's. That is about 10 degrees cooler than today
will be, but still a good 10 degrees above the average high of 49. Numbers fall
short of the average on Thursday making for a sunny and chilly day before a
return to more seasonable temperatures on Friday. The weekend doesn't look bad,
but it doesn't look great either. Overall, expect more clouds than sun with a
shower once in a while as highs slowly climb through the 50's. Take advantage of the mild temps while we have them.
