The Salvation Army kicked off their Christmas Angel Tree effort Monday afternoon at Boscov's in Egg Harbor Township.
Before Hurricane Sandy, the Salvation Army was planning to serve about 350 families this Christmas, since the storm the demand has only increased. Each tag on the tree represents the Christmas wishes of a child. People can pick the tag and attach it to the gifts they buy for those in need.
The Salvation Army is also asking for monetary donations this year due to hurricane relief efforts.
