A Ventnor woman has been charged with murder in connection with
the fatal stabbing of a Millville man in Ventnor yesterday afternoon, acting Atlantic
County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
Last night, Tamasa T. Nobles, 18, was charged with committing the murder of Devon
Devine, 20, of Millville, by stabbing him in the chest.
Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 12 p.m., police responded to a 9-1-1 call in
regards to an unresponsive male who had reportedly been stabbed during an
altercation. Upon arrival, police officers found the Devine suffering from a stab wound
outside of Nobles' residence located on the 300 block of Wissahickon Avenue.
Devine
was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced
dead shortly after.
Nobles was taken into custody at the scene and subsequently charged with murder and
weapons offenses. She has been lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $1
million cash bail.
A first appearance in court by Nobles has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. this afternoon
before Superior Court Judge Michael A. Donio.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Ventnor City Police
