Absecon hit and run leaves woman hospitalized

On Sunday around midnight 29-year old Ramon Quintanilla of Pleasantville lost control of his car on Rt. 30 near Turner Ave, causing his car to overturn into a marsh.

Officials say that Quintanilla was speeding in a Toyota when he struck a 2005 Hyundai Elantra. After the collision, witnesses say they observed the man leave his car and flee the scene. 

The victim driving the Hyundai, a 28-year old female from Cranbury New Jersey, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

According to authorities the driver of the Toyota later attempted to report his vehicle stolen from his residence.

After further investigation officials report "Quintanilla is being charged with obstruction as well as several motor vehicle summons."
