Authorities are still investigating the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home in Hammonton Friday night.
The fire broke out in a home on the 500 block of Pleasant Mills Road around 8:30. Officials say heavy smoke and fire was coming from the roof and garage of the home. Because of the location of the fire, multiple tankers from surrounding communities were called in to assist in fighting the blaze.
The homeowners were home at the time of the fire, but managed to make it out safely and no one was hurt in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
