EGG HARBOR TWP. -
Donations to those still affected by Hurricane Sandy continue to pour in.
Students at the Slaybaugh Elementary School in Egg Harbor Township were happy to start the "Slaybaugh Students Make a Change" donation drive. Each classroom filled a coffee can with change that by the end of the drive added up to over $3,700.
"They were really excited, because we actually had a few students who were displaced from the storm because West Atlantic City was affected, so they were excited. So everyone pretty much know someone who was affected by the storm so they were more than happy to empty their piggy banks," said Kristina Benton, who teaches art at Slaybaugh Elementary School.
The money collected is going to the American Red Cross.
