Coast to coast, hopeful millionaires are swarming gas stations, convenience stores and anyplace else that sells Powerball tickets, all for a chance to win that game's biggest jackpot ever, now over $500 million dollars.
In Linwood and across South Jersey, people are lining up in hopes of becoming instant millionaires. The current pool has been growing for more than seven weeks, getting bigger each time no one wins. As the jackpot soars, so does the excitement and the prospect of a $278–million dollar cash payout, Powerball's biggest ever.
The odds of winning Wednesday's jackpot is one in 175 million.
Tickets will be sold up until about an hour before Wednesday night's drawing.
