Sandy debris picked up in Atlantic City

Posted: Updated:

Atlantic City residents are seeing the debris piled in their streets starting to be removed Tuesday.

The Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management and the Department of Public Works are coordinating a Hurricane Sandy storm debris pick up for residents.  The cleanup started Tuesday in Lower Chelsea and will begin again Wednesday at 7 a.m. in the first ward.

The Public Works Department says they are working hard to remove all the debris and asks residents making repairs to have their contractors remove their own waste materials and debris and not to add it to the storm related mess the city is removing.
