
Police in Bridgeton say an attempted robbery ended with one man being shot in the back Sunday night.
It happened on the 400 block of south avenue. Police say Victor Tolentino–Perez was sitting in a friend's
car using a cell phone when a man approached him demanding money. Tolentino–Perez got out of the car and tried to flee the
scene when the suspect shot him in the back. He was taken to Christiana hospital in Delaware for
treatment, police say he was conscious and alert at the scene.
The suspect is described as a black man, around 30 years old, wearing a red or brown shirt. He fled the scene after the shooting.
