A church in Ventnor devastated by Hurricane Sandy is receiving help from both near and far during its recovery effort.
Ventnor Community Church is receiving a truck load of donated items from a church in Illinois.
The donated items will help parishioners and Ventnor residents in need.
The only problem is damage from the storm has prevented the Community Church from housing the items so Produce Junction in Egg Harbor Township as volunteered their space to keep the donations.
The showing of support has overwhelmed church board member Beverley Gill.
"Whenever there is a problem there's always someone saying oh how can I help and this has taught me a good life lesson as well cause when something happens elsewhere I'm going to make sure I do my part and help someone else in need cause now I know what its like to be on the other end," said Gill.
The donations were coordinated by Gill and her distant cousin who she will also have the opportunity to meet in person for the first time.
