VENTNOR -- V.F.W. Post 3361 has stood the test of time since it was built in 1950, but after it flooded with 30 inches of water from Hurricane Sandy, it was forced to shut its doors -- until Saturday. Dozens

MARGATE -
One local organization is working to meet the basic needs of those still struggling following Hurricane Sandy.
Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties has a donation and distribution center at the Saint James School in Ventnor.
The center is giving out non perishable food, toiletries and other needed items to those still in need.
The American Red Cross is also providing hot meals at the center.
The center will be open for those who need items or for donations Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon from 11 until 2.
Community members must present valid id when using the center.
