ATLANTIC CITY -

On Saturday night police responded to a 17-year old shooting victim and while on scene discovered his friend was also wounded.

Police responded to the 100 block of North Vermont Avenue around 8:20 p.m.

According to authorities the 17- year old victim was shot in the leg and the chest in the 300 block of Atlantic Avenue. He then ran to Vermont Avenue before sitting down on a porch.

Official say that when Police arrived to the 100 block of North Vermont Avenue the victim was conscious. He was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.

While on scene another male became disorderly with the responding officers and was taken into custody. This 18-year old male was a friend of the shooting victim and he was transported to the Public Safety holding facility. Officials say that as he was being taken into custody authorities discovered that the 18-year old was shot in the foot. Prior to being taken into custody, the male did not inform Police about his gun shot wound.

An ambulance was called for the male and he was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
