EGG HARBOR TWP - Resorts Casino Hotel and Esposito's of Philadelphia have come together to donate a Thanksgiving staple.
100 frozen turkeys were donated to the community food bank in Egg Harbor Township, just in time for the busy holiday season, when the food bank needs donations most.
Resort's says that they are "blessed" to be able to give back to South Jersey.
We spoke with one Atlantic City resident who was denied by FEMA and welfare in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and that's why she was in line at the food bank today.
Although upset about the lack of benefits she's received her spirit brightened when she heard about the donated turkeys.
Every year the food bank donates 39 million pounds of food and groceries a year, and through their combined efforts, help to feed 900,000 people throughout New Jersey.
The Community Food Bank of New Jersey is always accepting donations, and officials say that right now, the food being donated is going out as fast as it's coming in.
