Thursday marks the 37th Great American Smokeout and local anti –smoking advocates did their part to get the word out.
Over 12 hundred pinwheels were set up in Gaskill Park in Mays Landing.
The pinwheels represent the number of people who die every day in the United States because of smoking related illnesses.
The American Cancer Society has the great American Smokeout on the third Thursday of November every year to encourage smokers to quit.
