American Legion honors veterans in Ocean City - NBC40.net

In Ocean City, the local American Legion and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars post held their Veteran's ceremony Monday.

Several speakers including state Senator Jeff Van Drew addressed a group of veteran's at Veterans Memorial Park.

Mayor Jay Gillian says that this is one of the most important days of the year.

"When you meet a veteran and you really get to know these guys and see how they work it really is amazing. Out of any group, I dealt with the Veteran's groups are always the best," said Gillian.

This day of remembrance is an annual event in Ocean City.
