EGG HARBOR TWP -
An elderly man was killed in Egg Harbor Township after being
hit by a vehicle Thursday.
The accident happened around 5:15 Thursday morning on the Black Horse Pike in the area of the Tower 2001 Mobile Home Park in the Cardiff
section of the township.
Police say 74 year old Frank Carey, of Egg Harbor Twp., was in the
roadway on the Black Horse Pike for unknown reasons when he was hit by a vehicle
traveling eastbound on the pike.
Carey was pronounced dead on the scene.
Traffic was diverted for over two hours while authorities
cleared the scene.
