Hurricane Sandy alters N.J. coastline - NBC40.net

Hurricane Sandy's landfall affected New Jersey's coastline dramatically.

Erosion, breaching, and overwash took place on many barrier islands.  These pre– and post–storm photos were taken before and after Sandy and released by the United States Geological Survey.

The coastline in both Brigantine and Stone Harbor has been altered dramatically.
