It was hardly politics as usual in Mays Landing Tuesday where students
at Barbarito and Beyers Preschools are voting to elect their favorite
pet.
There were no donkeys of elephants in this race, instead the children are campaigning for hermit crabs, hamsters or fish.
Teachers
hope that the election will help the preschoolers to understand the
political process. And in case you're wondering, hamsters won the
election in a landslide.
