ATLANTIC CITY -

Over 20,000 bottles of water are on their way to help Atlantic City's residents.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Rain Soft Water International teamed up with the city to donate 20,700 bottles of water that were delivered to Sandcastle Stadium Monday.

From there the water was taken to local schools to distribute.

"The board of ed will send out a robo-call calling the homes of students, to advise the parents that if they need water all they need to do is go to the closest local school and they'll be given a case of water," said Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford.

The Melting Pot Restaurant in Atlantic City helped arrange for Rain Soft Water International to deliver the water.
