With election day Tuesday, several area candidates are staging their last push to win over voters.
Candidates in the second congressional district are making last minute plans with less than 24 hours before polls open.
Cassandra
Shober is running against the Republican incumbent Frank LoBiondo and
is hopeful voters are ready to go in a new direction.
"I think a
lot of people are ready for a change but I've really viewed it not so
much as running against him as running for the seat and running for the
people. I think it is time for a change," said Shober.
LoBiando,
the Republican candidate, has represented the second district since
1995. He is confident the people of the district will make an informed
decision.
"You connect with people, you talk about your record,
you answer their questions. We have a very thoughtful constituency here,
I think that have been fairly sophisticated in understanding the issues
and understanding the candidates," said LoBiondo.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in New Jersey on Tuesday.
