Sam joined the NBC40 team in January of 2012 as a general assignment reporter/photographer.
Before coming to NBC40, Sam served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in a rural village in El Salvador. In El Salvador, Sam worked on a community wide water project, which brought clean drinking water to all 500 residents. He also worked on a number of other community health programs to help educate the local people.
Sam grew up just outside Philadelphia, but is no stranger to South Jersey as he spent many summers at the shore.
Before leaving for Peace Corps, Sam spent four years living in Arizona attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.
In Arizona, Sam worked in the investigative unit at ABC 15 in Phoenix. Sam's journalism career began early on while still in high school when Sam was chosen as the first Mark Drucker intern at KYW News Radio in Philadelphia.
Sam is an avid international traveler and his passport includes stamps from more than 40 countries.
