CRDA TALKS ABOUT FUTURE OF ATLANTIC CITY
(Return to Video Menu - View Full)

ATLANTIC CITY -- The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Tuesday approved nearly $10 million for projects intended to revitalize Atlantic City, and on Wednesday officials spoke to NBC 40 about what it means for the future of the resort.

The CRDA approved $6.1 million for the Steel Pier alone, allowing the owners to renovate and expand over the next three years. Other projects approved include the Atlantic Avenue Façade Project, a project to transform Michigan and Pacific Avenues and the Boardwalk Innovation Pavilion Concept.

"We're moving pretty aggressively and I think everyone understands... the board of directors as well as the governor... they understand how important it is to move with a lot of speed," said Exec. Dir. John Palmieri.

The Master Tourism Plan was approved just three weeks ago.
