TWO ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH SPREE OF BURGLARIES

LOWER TWP. -- Authorities arrested Leroy Lashley, 27, and Melissa Walker, 24, this week in connection with numerous residential burglaries in the Erma and Villas sections of Lower Township.
The burglaries took place over a periof of two weeks, in which Lashley allegedly made forcible entry into the homes and stole items such as jewelry, weapons and change. He's been charged with seven burglaries and thefts, while Walker is charged with seven counts of conspiracy to commit burglary.
Lashley is being held in the Cape May County Jail on $600,000 bail.
Residents are reminded to lock their properties upon leaving their residences. If you seen something suspicious, call police at (609) 886-2711.
