ATLANTIC CITY - An Atlantic City youth program received a sizable donation night all thanks to a community effort.
In a recent Facebook promotion, the Tropicana offered to donate one dollar to the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City for every '"like" The Palm restaurant raised online.
Thursday night, General Manager of The Palm, Paul Sandler, presented a $1,000 dollar check to the program aimed at helping the youth of the city.
President and CEO of the Tropicana Tony Rodio said, "It's their chosen charity and were so happy to partner with them for such a great cause. It helps the youth of the area and it's really one of the staple programs of the entire city and it goes a long way to help the young people of Atlantic City."
As a thank you, Rodio had his caricature adored on The Palm restaurant wall, which features local celebrities as well as nationally recognized people. Rodio said he feels lucky and honored.
