BRIDGETON OFFICIALS MEET ABOUT EXPANDING FOOD BUSINESS PARKS
(Return to Video Menu - View Full)
BRIDGETON -- Bridgeton city officials recently met with the Rutgers Food Innovation Center for a brain storming session regarding expanding the food market.
The city business administrator met with NBC 40 today to talk about the possibility today, saying expanding the food business parks would provide tremendous opportunities for small and medium sized local businesses.
Officials also said Bridgeton would love to partner with someone to build the next stage of the Food Innovation Center.
"It would provide an opportunity for their products to come in and be handled locally, it would reduce the coast to get the products to market, would ensure Jersey Fresh is exactly that... Jersey fresh," said Dale Goodreau, Business Administrator of Bridgeton.
The city already has a site in mind, and is looking to work with any developer to look at buildings.
