ATLANTIC CITY - Congressman Frank LoBiondo was on hand Friday night to administer the oath of office to the new officers of the Sheriff's Association of New Jersey.

Atlantic County Sheriff Frank Balles, who was sworn in as president, says he was honored to be elected by his peers and 20 other sheriffs in the state.

Sheriff Balles says one goal he will aspire to achieve will be bringing the National Sheriffs Conference to Atlantic City.

"Bring some of the other programs there doing in other parts of the state into Atlantic County means a lot, we want to grow this sheriffs association to be a sheriffs association that's second to none in the country," added Balles

Sheriff Balles anticipates this move to be a 20 million dollar proposition to the resort town and hopes they will get a bid in on the convention this year.
