HARRAH'S WANTS TO EXPAND GAMING OFF CASINO FLOORS
Associated Press ( news@nbc40.net) - 10/18/11 03:42 pm

ATLANTIC CITY--Harrah's Resort Atlantic City wants to be the second New Jersey casino to extend gambling into areas
beyond the casino floor.

An executive with the casino tells The Associated Press it wants to put six table games at The Pool, its huge enclosed swimming pool that becomes one of Atlantic City's hottest night spots when the sun goes down. Word of the Harrah's plan comes just days after the Tropicana Casino and Resort got approval from state regulators to put slot machines and electronic table games machines in The Quarter, its shopping and dining area across the street from the casino.

The casinos say both of the new gambling areas would be 100% smoke-free. Other casinos are considering similar expansion requests.
