WILDWOOD BEACH TAG POSSIBILITY UP IN THE AIR

Wildwood - Many call Wildwood their home and getaway spot in the summer for many different reasons. But one huge thing puts them above and beyond almost all other beaches in New Jersey. Beach tags.
While the beach is free to many, it's still a costly charge for the residents here with taxes. but as Wildwood deals with financial problems, the thing that labels them as "natural", could be on its way out the door.
John Siciliano, executive director of the greater Wildwoods Tourism Authority said, "This is natural and we believe it should be free and that's our belief and that's why our cities have kept it that way for a long time."
A change in tradition would be put towards a $1 million bill that Wildwood pays each year for lifeguards and cleaning its beaches.
The community is hoping for the best, but it is known that this is something that Wildwood needs to look into.
