CAPE MAY CO. BRIDGE COMMISSION APPROVES REPAIRS FOR CORSONS INLET

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE -- The Cape May County Bridge Commission approved repairs for the Corsons Inlet Bridge during an emergency meeting Monday afternoon.
The meeting focused on the current situation of the bridge and the repairs needed, following a serious accident that happened last Tuesday.
That's when two Sea Isle teenagers crashed through the bridge's railings and plunged 30 feet into the frigit water below. The victims are the niece and nephew of Sea Isle City Mayor Leonard Desiderio, and thankfully, they only suffered minor injuries.
The commission also said the entire guardrail will be replaced in the near future.
