NJ TRANSIT TO RESUME REGULAR SCHEDULE WEDNESDAY
Associated Press ( news@nbc40.net) - 12/28/10 10:43 pm

NEWARK (AP) -- New Jersey Transit says it will resume normal weekday schedules on its rail, bus and light rail lines on Wednesday.

Rail service has been operating on a reduced schedule due to the winter storm, and bus service was suspended from Sunday night until 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

NJ Transit will continue to cross-honor tickets on Wednesday, allowing riders to use their tickets or passes for rail, bus or light rail travel at no additional charge. The agency cautioned rail commuters that parking capacity at many stations is reduced by large snow mounds.

It also said that riders could see delays on some bus routes due to local road conditions.

In South Jersey, the PATCO rail line resumed normal service for the Tuesday evening commute.
